Frequently asked questions
What counts as 1 calculation?
Each API call to Euclid counts as 1 calculation. This applies to all 6 tools: calculate, convert, statistics, datetime, encode, and finance. A compound arithmetic expression and a simple addition cost the same: 1 calculation.
Does the free tier expire?
No. The 1,000 free calculations are a lifetime allocation. They do not reset monthly. They do not expire. No credit card is required to claim them.
When will auto-top-up be available?
Auto-top-up is coming shortly after launch. It will purchase credits automatically when your balance falls below a threshold you set. Until then, credits are purchased manually from the dashboard.
Can I accumulate multiple credit purchases?
Yes. Balances accumulate. A $10 purchase followed by a $20 purchase gives 300,000 calculations total. Credits do not expire.
What happens when my credits run out?
Calculations return an error when the balance reaches zero. No additional charges are incurred. Purchase credits from the dashboard to resume.
